A new season is underway in Pasadena for the Women's Volleyball Team of Providence Christian College. The Sea Beggars are excited to welcome three freshman (Abigayl Doiron, Summer Hornecker, and Elizabeth Knobf) and two transfers (Melanie Balaban and Alexis Le Clech) to their ranks. These young ladies, along with many talented returners, will play a major role in the success of the team this season.

The Sea Beggars have faced off against many strong opponents during their preseason thus far. With a current record of 1-6, the team looks to add some more matches to the wins column this weekend at the Life Pacific Tournament. "Our team has shown that we can compete at a high level. I look forward to seeing how we continue to come together. It has been tough to lose so many close matches, but my hope is that this will invoke a greater hunger to work hard as a team and give everything we have on the court," said Coach Chown.
